Working at Missing Italia is, a lively and enjoyable experience, where my passion for my Country can be expressed in many ways. At Missing Italia, we are a lively and dynamic team, in love with Italy. We enjoy working together and sharing ideas to provide the best service to our clients. During quieter periods, we go on trips to check the facilities and try out new activities, as our passion for Italy keeps growing! From time to time, we organize company dinners to better appreciate the local area and savor the art of good living
What unique value proposition sets your brand apart from the competition?
What sets us apart is our deep passion for our country, Italy, which translates into prompt proposals for well-detailed itineraries, as well as continuous customer support throughout their stay in Italy. Having been in the incoming tourism sector for over 20 years, all areas of Italy feel like home to us. We efficiently manage services anywhere in the country, including the islands – even the smallest ones.
Share a success story when working with Travel Agency Owners:
A wonderful experience took place a few months ago, when we organized a large family reunion, ten families, for an entire week. In a small stone village, equipped with every comfort, including restaurant, swimming pools, and more, each day we arranged different activities for both children and adults, culminating in a beautiful farewell candle dinner on the terrace, accompanied by a band performing the most beloved Italian songs, and a photographer to capture many wonderful memories.
What is new and exciting that you're looking forward to sharing with this year's delegates?
We would like to introduce in detail the Italian destination DOLOMITES mountains, which are now part of UNESCO heritage, with breath-taking views, lake and valley scenery. A land of towering peaks and spires, contrasted by peaceful valleys sprinkled with lively villages.
The travel industry is forever evolving. What are some of the trends you're seeing, and what initiatives is your brand developing to support travel agency owners and their teams' sales efforts?
Open air activities are growing, such as e-bike tours, hiking, golf cart tours…We are always happy to arrange calls with travel advisors and their clients in order to give as many explanations as possible.
What are your traditional commission structures?
We give net rates, travel advisors decide their commission on own and make the final price. Once the booking is confirmed, we debit clients’ credit card for the gross amount, then pay the travel advisors their commission.
Why should travel agency owners encourage their frontline sales force to book your brand as a preferred partner?
Because we are reliable, we work with passion, we reply quick, we are always ready to make all changes till we get the right itinerary at the right price, and because we provide 24H assistance throughout clients’ stay in Italy , so that the travel advisor can sleep well.
What tools/technologies do you have in place to support travel advisors; and do they integrate into current available technologies? If yes, which ones?
We are based in Italy, so integrated tools/technologies to support travel sellers are still to be done, however we provide all information easy to cut & copy.
When communicating with your company, what can travel advisors expect (ie turnaround time, dedicated point person, etc.)?
Email is the easiest way, we are always available to call them or to do a video call, also with their clients, so that we can explain the destinations and activities in detail.
We usually reply within 24H, and the person in charge of the itinerary remains the same till the end of the booking (whilst there other part of the team in charge of the reservations)
